Today’s accusations against the Chairman of the parliamentary faction of the Opposition bloc Yuriy Boyko, MP from the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko Serhiy Leschenko are the elements of political pressure on the opposition. This was stated by MP from the OPPOSITION BLOC Serhiy Lovochkin in the briefing in the Parliament on Thursday, November 12.

“Sociological investigations show that now the OPPOSITION BLOC is the second in ratings political force in the country. The leader of the OPPOSITION BLOC Yuriy Boyko has the second rank in the country. And the attack on Yuriy Boyko, our political power, opposition MPs and our representatives in the regions indicates only one thing – the authorities are afraid of the Opposition bloc! They are afraid that we have a growing support, so we are fighting. And therefore all the attacks that has happened today and happened before, we evaluate as an attack on the only real opposition,” Serhiy Lovochkin underscored.

“Why today is the investigation according to the “Ukrspirt, the corruption in “Borispol”, “Ukrzaliznytsya” not conducted? But the authorities are interested in topics of 2010-2012; will it become easier to live with it? Why does the lustration substitute a real fight against the corruption? There is no answer from the current government, and never will. Because everything happened is political pressure and it has nothing to do with restoring order in the country and fight against the corruption,” the politician stated.

He added that the Opposition bloc will produce its evidences against all the baseless allegations in its side.

“If the Prosecutor’s Office has the slightest chance to attack Boyko, it would do it. Because the attacks on the opposition MPs go from the most different pretexts. And if it were a legal basis in the accusations in the address of Boyko, surely we would have seen it in the Verkhovna Rada. But it is not. And all the accusations are just words and political pressure. The Opposition bloc will become only stronger; the support of the people will only grow. And we will continue to speak the truth and to fight for the rights of our voters,” Serhiy Lovochkin summed up.
