The OPPOSITION BLOC opposes the legislative initiatives of the authorities aimed at limiting the rights of people in Donbas, including - through the mechanism of martial law. This was stated by MP from the OPPOSITION BLOC Serhiy Lovochkin, commenting on information on the draft law on the “reintegration of Donbas.”

“The OPPOSITION BLOC supports all actions that will lead to de-escalation, the settlement of the conflict and the reintegration of Donbas. At the same time, they should be coordinated in the Normandy format and in no case be provocative,” Serhiy Lovochkin stated.

According to him, the OPPOSITION BLOC will support any initiatives aimed at improving the life and safety of people living and in the conflict zone - access to social assistance, freedom of movement, normalization of infrastructure.

“However, we are categorically against the legislative creativity of the authorities aimed at restricting the rights of people in Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts - first of all, the constitutional rights of residents of Oblasts and refugees, the right to participate in elections through the mechanism of martial law,” the politician added.
