The government must create all conditions the Ukrainian young people to be able to realize themselves at homeland and not to go abroad and increase the number of labour migrants. The people’s Deputy from the Opposition bloc Serhiy Lovochkin said in the Verkhovna Rada.

“I want young people to realize themselves in Ukraine, have a good job and decent wages. This is one of the priorities of the authorities, if it concerns about the future of Ukraine,” Serhiy Lovochkin said.

Instead, the Ukrainian government thinks only about opening the borders with Europe and not carries about the future of their citizens. “Look at the Baltic. The youth left - primarily programmers, people with high qualifications, and in general, in the hope of a better life people who can work left the country. The result is a stagnant economy. Therefore, the opening of borders with Europe has its advantages, but there are dangers. The overall effect depends on the strategy of the state,” the MP said.

He stressed that as soon as Ukraine opens borders to foreign countries people who can work will leave Ukraine in the first place. “Then the question arises - what about humanitarian human base for economic growth in Ukraine? The answer is obvious. That’s why I don’t want young people to leave the country. And the state should do everything to attract and keep young talents on its territory at Ukrainian enterprises. I support free movement, but if it does not entail a labour migration and erosion of human capital from the country,” Serhiy Lovochkin underscored.
