The Prime Minister is trying to cover up corruption at the Odesa Portside Plant together with the People's Front leadership, MP Serhiy Lovochkin (OPPOSITION BLOC) said this in a statement.
“Today Yatseniuk and the Popular Frond leadership once again proved that the Interior Ministry is working just like it did before. He and his Popular Front colleagues, which means the government, determine what criminal proceedings should be initiated by the Interior Ministry and against whom they need to do this. Yatseniuk himself and the leadership of the People's Front are illegally using MIA to persecute their political opponents,” Serhiy Lovochkin said.
In fact, Yatseniuk’s statement on the Odesa Portside Plant (OPP) is his attempt to cover up corruption at the plant, the politician said.
“The composition of the OPP Supervisory Board has recently been changed to include the people of Yatseniuk, Martynenko and Pashinsky,” the MP said.
According to him, after this OPP was forced to conclude trade contracts to sell the plant’s products through an intermediary company affiliated with the People's Front leadership with accounts in Diamant Bank. “These contracts have been published in the media,” Serhiy Lovochkin said.
“I appeal to the Prosecutor General’s Office demanding to explore the reasons for concluding these contracts, check the observance of ‘transparent and competitive’ procedure for the selection of these intermediaries, as well as establish their real owners. The PGO must find out who instructed the OPP management to do this and determine the actual losses of the company as a result of such actions,” the politician said.
“The political approach of the Prime Minister in choosing which business groups the state should use to create vertically integrated companies, and which businesses should be destroyed, is obvious. Here the fact whether their channels broadcast his weekly ten-minute ‘Evening Tale’ on improvements is obviously another important factor,” Serhiy Lovochkin summed up.
