OPPOSITION BLOC representatives insist both the ruling coalition and the government should immediately consider the protection of the most vulnerable people. Serhiy Lovochkin, MP and a member of the parliamentary faction of the Opposition Bloc said this on the sidelines of the Verkhovna Rada on Friday, December 12.
“We demand to put to vote the laws on social protection, we demand that in a period of [high] inflation pensions and wages should not be frozen, and that social standards should not be decreased. People are struggling even without this. We also demand that the government consider the protection of the most vulnerable members of our society,” Serhiy Lovochkin stated.
According to him, the OPPOSITION BLOC developed an anti-crisis program, and it has been made available to the current government.
“We made some specific proposals, and I hope that the government will take them for implementation. In addition, we want to bring an end to the epic saga with the [parliamentary] committees. We demand to take into account the interests of all parliamentary factions without exception,” Serhiy Lovochkin said.
