Today the government and the coalition are engaged in their questions that are irrelevant to the bringing the country from the economic crisis. This was stated by MP from the OPPOSITION BLOC Serhiy Lovochkin in the lobby of Parliament.

“There is a large-scale economic crisis in the country. People don’t have money to buy food, clothes. There is a fantastic way of rising prices and tariffs. The agenda of Parliament is laws which help someone to find a job in the Prosecutor’s Office to expand personnel capabilities for the government. But it does not negate the crisis. In this direction neither the government nor the coalition works,” Serhiy Lovochkin considers.

He stressed that in Ukraine there is also a large-scale political crisis. “Look, how May 9 was held. Ukrainians are one of the most tolerant nations in Europe – they’ll fight with each other because of the colour of the banner, or some distinguishing badge. When was it? What do the authorities do to change this? What does the coalition make? War, confrontation, intolerance have become the paradigm of power. They are trying to save their ratings; they are trying to stay in their offices. This is unacceptable,” Serhiy Lovochkin said.

According to the MP the Parliament’s agenda should have, first and foremost, the economic laws, the real decentralization, not talk; people have to get money for medicine, to education, to social benefits. “And only after this it is necessary to deal with the Prosecutor’s Office and something else,” he added.

Serhiy Lovochkin recalled that the OPPOSITION BLOC has prepared a package of amendments to the budget, which include increasing minimum wages and pensions, funding of regions, health and education.

“We demand to examine our draft laws, as they are built on the honest basis of macroeconomic base and allow further attract to the budget UAH 90 billion, of which 60 must be designed to increase social standards. This is the principled position of the OPPOSITION BLOC. We won’t vote for draft laws that are a political decision and explanation to the government that it is doing something. Because people will get nothing from this effect,” Serhiy Lovochkin emphasized.

According to him, before talking about visa-free regime, the government should increase social standards. “People can’t buy tickets to go to Europe. So before you talk about visa-free regime, it is necessary first to increase social standards,’ the politician said.
