MP from the OPPOSITION BLOC Serhiy Lovochkin sees no one problem in the fact that the amnesty for the participants of the conflict in Donbas will begin after elections in the respective territory, and stresses that it should not become a reason for renewed confrontation.

“I don’t see the problem the elections to be before the amnesty. I think this may convince the opposite side of the conflict”, he said to journalists on Wednesday in Kiev, Interfax-Ukraine transfers.

The MP noted that the issue of amnesty or punishment of participants of the conflict is a question of justice. “Justice is what should happen, but at the same time there should not be injustice, when the political factor will prevail over the judiciary and the question of truth. In this case, I think there may be a new ground for new confrontations”, Serhiy Lovochkin stated.

“The question of justice and punishment should be clearly written and balanced. Maybe it is necessary to create special judicial boards or provide some special procedure in the Ukrainian legislation, special arrangements for justice concerning those persons, which you can grant amnesty”, he underscored.

Serhiy Lovochkin stressed that the issue of amnesty should not become the new basis for the resumption of confrontation in Donbas.
