MP from the Opposition Bloc Serhiy Lovochkin considers that the main problems of the judicial system are: a person does not have access to justice and the power’s control over courts. He stated this in the corridors of the Verkhovna Rada.
“As for the judicial reform, we do not support this draft law. Not because there is no need to reform the courts, it is indisputably necessary. Because a person in modern Ukraine does not have access to justice, this is the first. And the second is the power’s control over courts. This is a huge problem. We see this in numerous political cases, such as the case of Efremov, as the case of Lavrynovych. That is why it is unacceptable for the power to control the courts. We are against this,” Serhiy Lovochkin stated.
