The Opposition bloc is ready to vote for all draft laws that bring peace to Ukraine. This was stated by MP Serhiy Lovochkin in the corridors of the parliament.
“The fact, that there are negotiations in a peaceful settlement between the main partners, is very important. Because the only way to bring peace – it is diplomatic negotiations. As for the position of the Opposition bloc, it is very simple: we are ready to support any draft laws that bring peace to Ukraine. This is the main task that we set for ourselves. Therefore, the current vote in the parliament - the budget and all the rest of the agenda, which is proposed by the coalition of war - it seems to be secondary for us,” Serhiy Lovochkin said.
“We demand and insist the whole agenda of the work of parliament and the power as a whole to be subordinated to one goal – peace. But, the entire agenda of the Verkhovna Rada, all the ballots, all the draft laws should bring peace initiatives closer to reality,” he added.
According to the politician, the Opposition bloc believes that the current draft budget does not correspond to the goal - peace in Ukraine.
“The draft budget is the budget of the war. It is made in conditions when the war in the East is continuing; huge sums are spent on war, as well as power departments. We believe that the budget should be social, money should be sent to people, and not to finance the war. Therefore, we insist the foreign policy doctrine, as well as pro-war paradigm to be changed, and the funds that were freed from the military budgets to be sent to help people, to develop the economy and create work places. The country can not live in another agenda,” Serhiy Lovochkin stated.
