MP Serhiy Lovochkin announced the renaming of the OPPOSITION BLOC party at the upcoming congress.

“We are now thinking about rebranding - changing the name. Talking about this, the name of the party should include the words that would most clearly reflect our goals and objectives. Our primary goal is peace and development, so our party will most likely be called ‘The Party of Development and Peace’,” Serhiy Lovochkin said on air of Inter TV Channel on Sunday night.

He said that the change of name will be one of the topics discussed at the party congress.

Serhiy Lovochkin also expressed confidence that the OPPOSITION BLOC would win the upcoming local elections in southeastern Ukraine. “We are talking about this with my party colleagues, and without doubt, the OPPOSITION BLOC will win in all oblasts of eastern Ukraine,” he said. In addition, Serhiy Lovochkin urged to hold an early parliamentary election.

“I think the snap election will be held soon, and we should not be afraid of it, it is a normal democratic practice,” Serhiy Lovochkin assured.
