MP Serhiy Lovochkin (OPPOSITION BLOC) cited three reasons why he had not been voting affirmatively in the parliament, as commented on the NGO Chesno report, according to which he voted “aye” only five times in 28 plenary sessions. This is stated in a report of the MP’s press service.

“There are three reasons why I do not vote affirmatively in the parliament. Reason one is I do not support the systemic political populism of the government and its coalition,” the politician said.

According to him, “an example of such populism is the voting for the non-aligned status, which brought Ukraine neither victory, nor peace, nor strengthened the position of Ukraine in the world, nor brought it closer to NATO.” “It was only a short-lived PR-stunt of the government,” the politician noted.

“Reason two: I do not support the government program, which is empty as a drum, and its emptiness destroys our economy and jobs,” he said. The MP stressed that “every citizen of Ukraine felt the effectiveness of the government, which destroys the economy.”

“Reason three. I do not support the four-months’ lack of any real reforms our country needs on the agenda of the ruling coalition. This is why I have not been voting affirmatively in the Verkhovna Rada,” he noted.
