The war is depriving Ukrainians of their future, therefore everyone should vote against it today. This was stated by OPPOSITION PLATFORM — FOR LIFE MP Serhiy Lovochkin after he cast his ballot on parliamentary election on Sunday.

“Today, I came here to vote for peace. But not just ‘for peace’ — I voted against the war. The war is depriving Ukrainian children of their future, the war forces millions of Ukrainians to work abroad. I am certain that every Ukrainian citizen should vote against the war today, vote for peace. It’s important that people support peace, development, the future of efficient, strong, and united Ukraine. I am certain this will happen,” Lovochkin said.

The politician shared the high-priority tasks of the OPPOSITION PLATFORM — FOR LIFE in the newly elected parliament.

“Our first bills will definitely be aimed at peace initiatives and implementation of the Minsk agreement. Second, we have a large-scale package of reforms in economy, jobs creation, social protection of citizens, and rises in salaries and pension payments. This sizeable and professional package has been drafted by our party, and we are certain it will be passed by the new Verkhovna Rada. We hope to enjoy people’s support, and decisions made based on our bills will show the people that their votes have not been vain,” Lovochkin said.

He also commented on the parliamentary election campaign.

“It was a dirty campaign. We’ve seen loads of mudslinging against our party, and even came under administrative pressure from the local state authorities. I am certain that those who did it will be punished by voters,” Lovochkin summed up.
