“The OPPOSITION BLOC is outraged with how the Parliament spent the day. Serhiy Lovochkin, a people’s deputy and a member of the parliamentary faction of the OPPOSITION BLOC said this on the sidelines of the Verkhovna Rada on Friday, December 12.

“The Opposition Bloc is outraged with how the Parliament spent the day. One would think, if the Speaker convenes an extraordinary session, then there must be a need to solve problems. However, we see neither the Tax Code, nor a real budget. No decision has ever been made. The day went down the drain,” the politician said.

According to him, the OPPOSITION BLOC is critical about the draft state budget and the draft tax code proposed to the parliament.

“The first problem of the proposed budget is that it provides real cuts in the volume of funds allocated for subsidies, education, health care and the housing and utility sector. Another problematic issue concerns decentralization,” the member of parliament said.

Besides, according to Serhiy Lovochkin, the government planned to increase the tax burden.
