OPPOSITION PLATFORM — FOR LIFE will support all steps by the new government aimed at restoration of peace. This was stated by MP Serhiy Lovochkin during the Yalta European Strategy (YES) forum on Sept. 14.

“We have heard the president and the prime minister. They have good intentions. Now it is important to turn those intentions into roadmaps and concrete activities. If these steps benefit all of Ukrainians, our party will support them,” Lovochkin said.

The politician reminded the goals behind the OPPOSITION PLATFORM — FOR LIFE.

“Major goal uniting OPPOSITION PLATFORM — FOR LIFE is a desire to restore peace in Ukraine. We believe this is the task for both our team and the team of President Zelenskyi, and we will work on it. We have a very strong party and a lot of experts in our team,” Lovochkin said.

“OPPOSITION PLATFORM — FOR LIFE is a pro-Ukrainian party. It’s been and will always be pro-Ukrainian. Anything that makes Ukraine move forward — neighborship with Russia, with CIS countries, with Europe — is a strategic national interest. The ‘either / or’ questions are way too primitive here. Look at Germany constructing the gas pipeline together with Russia. Why don’t we use our geographic position? Why do we buy gas at 30 percent higher price just because we must buy it from European countries, not Russia, where it’s produced?” the politician said.

“When the war stops, all Ukrainians will win. It’s among our party’s priorities — to stop the war as soon as possible, to restore economic relations will all neighboring countries, with no exceptions, to attract Russians into investing in Ukraine, and to make way for Ukrainian producers to the Russian market,” the MP said.
