The budget bill for 2020 must be completely rearranged, OPPOSITION PLATFORM — FOR LIFE MP Serhiy Lovochkin stated on Friday, commenting in the Verkhovna Rada on the draft budget-2020 bill submitted by the Cabinet of Ministers.

“This budget must be completely rearranged. Our parliamentary faction will propose its own draft, the framework for the development of a social welfare state. We are certain that Ukraine must be a social welfare state, that the economy must be socially oriented because of our national poverty,” Lovochkin said, reminding that Ukraine is the poorest country in Europe.

“If we orient towards libertarianism, which the government is mentioning, this will not protect the people. Economy in transition must be social, its budgets must be social, and support economic growth,” the opposition politician said.

As reported earlier, the Cabinet-submitted draft budget-2020 bill proposes that social expenses are increased by mere inflation rate, as estimated by experts.
