Based on the number of MPs in the faction, the Opposition Bloc proposed two candidates to the Central Election Commission, but this proposal was not taken into account. Therefore, according to the deputy chairman of the faction Serhiy Lovochkin, the Opposition Bloc will not vote for the composition of the CEC.

“We are the third largest faction in the parliament. We demand our interests to be taken into account, and our representatives must be members of the Central Election Commission,” Serhiy Lovochkin told journalists in the corridors of the parliament.

According to the politician, non-observance of the rights of the opposition by the authorities is a sign that “the authorities are preparing for elections that will be held not to the highest democratic standards, to put it mildly.”

Serhiy Lovochkin also said that the Opposition Bloc  faction did not depart from its demands to ensure fair elections.
